Outlive Your Life by Max Lucado

September 24, 2010

Outlive Your Life by: Max Lucado is yet another great book written by a great author. In this book, Lucado takes great detail to show how the early church was on fire for God as shown in Acts.

With challenging chapters this book gets you to look at your own life and see where you can change in thinking and in action. This book really helped me understand how some of the things that took place in Acts can relate to me today and what I can do to outlive my life. This book is about making the most of everything you have and do so that at the end of your life you can say you have no regrets.

My favorite chapter would be Chapter 6 Open your door; Open your heart. This chapter changed my view and made me think that sharing will help many people. Who is the “Gentile” in your life? Is it the foreigner who has a thick accent? Or the beggar on the side of the interstate? Perhaps the rich boss you work for? All of these questions really made me take a step back and look at how I live my life. There are stories of real people today making an impact in unexpected ways which will help readers see that change is possible and within reach. Lucado’s writing is always down-to-earth, conversational, relevant, and enjoyable to read.
